My parents came to visit me in DC last weekend, and these are all the things we did!
We started our adventure on Saturday by going to the Air and Space Museum! It was super sentimental for me to take them here because of my career in aviation and because my dad’s dad was an engineer for Boeing.

We then took the metro to the Washington Monument.

We continued our exploration by walking to the World War 2 and the Veterans Memorials. Although it was gorgeous outside, it was super windy, making our walk a little harder than anticipated.

We proceeded to the Lincoln Memorial, which is something both of my parents have been wanting to see their whole lives; this is also my favorite site to see!

We finished up our day by seeing the Martin Luther King Jr Memorial.

Sunday we took the metro to see the Capitol, Supreme Court, and Library of Congress.

From there, we went to another Smithsonian, the Museum of Natural History, where my 6-foot-tall mom stood by other tall objects.

We finished our trip by walking to the White House.

I had so much fun being a tour guide for my parents. Even if they were here for a week, we wouldn’t run out of things to do; that’s what I love most about DC.
